COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT ATLANTIC WHITE SHARK CONSERVANCY (AWSC)

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC) was founded to support wildlife research and provide educational resources about one of the region’s most iconic and misunderstood keystone species. The Conservancy was strong in partnerships and programs, however as a small startup with limited resources, it was severely limited in its communications capacity. I worked with the AWSC president to establish a communications framework. This provided the messaging, copy and tools to empower the organization to deliver on deliver its mission to support research, improve public safety and educate the community.

Central to the project was the newly designed website and a new content management system that streamlined administration. The new website platform allows the organization’s workflow to be managed in one system and provides complete integration with social media, mailing lists + newsletters, and e-commerce. The site design was inspired by the ocean and uses a parallax scrolling feature that simulates swimming with sharks. It also provides cutting-edge website technology, such as responsive web design, at a very affordable annual cost.

WEB / SOCIAL / E-COMMERCE BE.YOGA

Founded in 2013, Be.Yoga was entering its second year of business with a website that did not reflect its unique personality and also strained operations with administrative inefficiencies (read: no web zen).

with a bevy of ever-changing programs, events, and classes, the owners were struggling to not just get information to their audience but also to engage them. A new design and content management system allowed them to take control of their business identity and their information services.

Refreshed with new photos and copy, a new layout and every needed feature, the new Be.Yoga website presented the unique studio in its true light. With integrated news, social media, and e-commerce, the site now functions as an additional employee. Within two weeks of its re-launch, the e-commerce feature enabled a revenue stream equal to the website investment.
