Carbon Forum America 2008: Carbon Market Trade Fair & Conference

ca.jpgNot too far off in February is the Carbon Forum America 2008 - “the benchmark setting event for the America’s Emerging Carbon Market.”

Carbon Forum America 2008 is the first US industry event which combines a Trade Fair with a Conference. The event comes at a time when the US is “seeing a strong shift towards voluntary carbon emission and an urgency among local governments to pass environmental legislation. The upcoming months will shape the future of the North American Carbon Emission market and legislation. Issues such as policy, market place and technology will be formulated and created.”

Carbon Trading is estimated to grow from $30 billion to $1 trillion in the next decade, according to the New York Times and expected to become the world’s biggest commodity by London’s Financial World.

The Carbon Forum America 2008 is organized by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Koelnmesse. The event will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California from February 26 – 27, 2008.
