Responsible Travel works to ensure that the holidays they recommend benefit the local people as much as possible and have as little negative environmental impact as possible.
Responsible travel can make a difference. Personally speaking, in 2004 I traveled to the Napo Wildlife Center, Responsible Travel’s pick for the 2006 Responsible Tourism Award for Best Protected Area.
NWC is a stunning example of community based conservation deep in the Amazon. Owned by the local Anangu community, NWC protects 82 square miles of pristine lowland rainforest through one of the best ecotourism projects in the world.
