Lucha Libre Wrestler Fighting for the Environment

The Mexican wrestling tradition of lucha libre pits good guys and bad guys and one star has taken his fight to the environmental ring. Yes, there’s a new superhero of the seas, a masked lucha libre wrestler known only as El Hijo del Santo or Son of the Saint. With his identity hidden behind a silver mask, El Hijo del Santo has become an environmental warrior.

He is the spokesperson for Wildcoast Costasalvaje, a conservation efforts volunteer and recently received the Hero of the Environment award from the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California for his efforts.
