Art, science, culture, nature and design are all interests of mine and I tend to spend most of my time where these disciplines intersect, along the human-nature interface. This is reflected in my academic pursuits which have included art, art history, environmental science and sustainable design. Also in my volunteer work which has spanned performing arts, visual arts, music, preservation, conservation and green building.
My professional work crosses boundaries between new media, the built environment and ecology. I tend to see everything through a green lens and use this perspective in my writing, photography, art and design work with the intent to communicate environmental issues. Currently, my professional focus is Marketing and Communications Director for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international non-profit located in Bonn, Germany, dedicated to promoting responsible forest management worldwide.
